When Gov. Matt Mead started his budget planning for the 2012 legislative session, he was using revenue estimates from October. When Wyoming's Consensus Revenue Estimating Group (CREG) released updated revenue forecasts two weeks ago, Mead had to go back to the drawing board on some of his budgetary decisions.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced last Thursday it would extend the public comment period on the draft Pavillion ground water investigation until March, according to a response letter from EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson to Gov. Matt Mead.

The Endangered Species Coalition released a report last week on species threatened by oil and gas exploration in the U.S. Among the 11 species listed were Wyoming's pocket gopher and the greater sage grouse.
